Do you help with the wedding day planning?
We have photographed weddings with and without wedding coordinators. We do suggest having at least a day of coordinator, but either way, we would love to help plan out the wedding day, and make sure we are ready to capture the day. We work together to make the day more efficient, and fun.
We want to have a Traditional wedding. Will we have enough time?
We love that you want to keep things traditional! It does however create a bit of a time crunch on the wedding day. Typically it would give us 60-80 minutes to capture family photos, wedding party photos and the most important, photos of the couple. It is something we have done, but even in the most ideal conditions, is usually not quite enough time.
We have been asking our couples, who want the Traditional, Not see each other until walking down the aisle, that we also do a post wedding adventure session. This is not only a really fun stress-free time, but it gives your wedding album that next level of romance and beauty. How Do you photograph the wedding day?
We work together to capture the day with candid coverage and non stressful direction and guidance. Maria and I will both take photos of the wedding day. From getting ready to grand exit. We will be quiet hidden ninjas during sensitive and romantic moments, leading the charge when direction is important, and capturing stories throughout.
How many weddings do you photograph in a year?
We limit our year to 15 weddings. We have had crazy years in the past, and for us, having quality time with couples is more important for us. Quality over Quantity.
We have some ideas for the shoot, will you take our advice?
We are more than happy to collaborate on a specific idea you have. That being said, we will have our own creative direction and ultimately want to create authentic, beautiful moments that are shot in our style.
How long have you been a photographer?
Tanner has been a photographer for 20 years. 10 years professionally.
Maria has been a photographer for 4 years. 2 years professionally.
Where are you based?
Seattle. But we will travel anywhere :)
How does payment work?
We require a 50% non-refundable retainer when contract is signed. We can take venmo, cash-app, paypal, check or cash.
How many Images do we get?
For a 12 hour wedding deliver between 1300-2000 images
For an 8 hour wedding we deliver between 900-1300 images.
For a 4 hour elopement, we deliver between 500-900 images.
For an engagement session we deliver between 400-700 images.
When do we get our photos?
We deliver 30 sneak peak images the night of the wedding. Just so you have a few moments from the wedding day to share.
The remaining images will be delivered 6-8 weeks from the wedding day.
Do we get RAW images?
We edit the raw images and deliver them in Full resolution JPEG with personal print release rights. You can also print directly from the gallery.
How do you keep our files safe?
We truly believe in keeping your memories safe, forever. We have triple redundancy with every photo we have ever taken. Currently we have over 30TB’s uploaded to the cloud. Our workflow is something we have fine-tuned over the years. Once the RAW images have been transferred to our working hard-drives, they are backed up on a RAID 5 server. That night, the images are uploaded to the cloud. Because of this triple redundancy, we guarantee, even if our hard drives crash, our house is broken into, or heaven forbid, burns down; your images are safe. Finally, when we deliver the edited images 6-8 weeks later, we upload the photos to a personal private gallery, a backup of them on Dropbox and send you a USB of the full resolution images in JPEG. So even you will get 3x redundancy of the edited images. Your memories are safe in our hands.
How do we get the images?
We deliver the images in Full Resolution JPEG on your own password protected gallery. You can download the images individually, or the entire album. We will also send you a Custom wooden Flash Drive with the wedding album within 1 week of final delivery.
Do you Direct us? What if we are awkward in photos?
We have years of experience with making every bride feel beautiful and every groom not awkward. We will give all the help and direction needed for making sure you both feel comfortable, while creating a non posed look. We really want to capture something natural, authentic, romantic and candid.
Will you travel for our wedding or elopement?
Yes! We would love to travel for your wedding. We have photographed some amazing weddings in many states and all over the world. We require our flights, rental car if needed and travel expenses to be covered. We don’t need anything fancy, and are very easy going. If you have a spare room or family, we would love to save you some money on accommodations. :) We have photographed weddings in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Connecticut, Texas, Australia, Brazil and are excited for adventures!
What camera gear do you have?
We have been shooting Nikon for 22 years. We have two Nikon Z6’s, Z7, D4, and a D810. Our lenses, 20mm f1.8, 35mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4, 24-70mm f2.8 and a 70-200 f2.8.
We love prime lenses and prefer them over zoom lenses for the fast aperture, their size and weight, and overall image quality and sharpness.
We love our Holdfast camera straps. Tanner uses the Money Maker and Maria loves the Money Maker Solo. We love the quality and look of their straps. We love supporting such a cool American made company.
We shoot with a selection of film cameras. We use a Pentax 6x7, Hassleblad 500cm, a Nikon f2 with a 50mm f1.4.
Our favorite films to shoot with are, Porta 160, 400, 800 and Ilford HP5.
We use a Mavic 2 pro drone, Ronin s for some video work and a collection of Manfrotto tripods.
We have a mixture of backpacks, but love our F-Stop and smaller Filson camera bag.
Do you give discounts?
We give you a $100 dollar break on the engagement session if you book both the engagement and wedding :) If you book all three, we discount the Post Wedding Session $300.
